Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) Disclosures and Conflict of Interest Training
Click on the above link and scroll to the bottom of the page to access the FCOI Disclosure Database and the link to the COI Training.
All COI* investigators must annually disclose significant financial interests of certfiy that they have none (for SOM investigators, this is due at the same time as federal income taxes). For new investigators (those who need to be added to the FCOI online reporting system) contact your cognizant SOMOGC grants administrator. Disclosures must be current for all COI investigators at the time of proposal. *COI investigators are defined as those individuals who are involved in the design, conduct, and report of sponsored research.
If you are new to using the UVa disclosure system, you will need to be added to the database: please email your UVa ID and your department organization code to Rob Merhige (robM@uvapf.org or cheryl-vpr@virginia.edu)
COI Training: See attached "Quick Guide." It is recommended that the COI module be completed/up to date for all investigators (PI and senior/key personnel) at the time of proposal, but is mandatory at the time of award. This must be completed once every four years.
A current patent agreement is required for all investigators (PI and senior/key personnel) at the time of proposal.
