Representation in clinical trials that is the same as the prevalence of the population with the condition or disease is challenging and also vital, in order for the clinicians to have confidence in the data resulting from said clinical trials.

To start, we recommend reading the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) editorial titled, 'Striving for Diversity in Research Studies'.
