Center for Behavioral Health and Technology
For more than a decade, this research group has been involved in eHealth, specifically the development and testing of clinical interventions delivered via the Internet. The Center utilizes the internet for implementation of engaging, interactive, and comprehensive interventions. The internet interventions are designed to improve outcome by tailoring the programs to the individual user. The Center has received significant support to develop and evaluate its programs from numerous funders, including the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute for Childhood Health and Human Development, the National Institute for Diabetes Digestive and Kidney Diseases, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the American Diabetes Association, the Commonwealth Neurotrauma Initiative, the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, and the University of Virginia.
