UVA Health Foundation
The UVA Health Foundation secures philanthropic commitments from individuals, foundations, and corporations in support of University of Virginia School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and Medical Center priorities. Philanthropic gifts received by the UVA Health Foundation are dispensed according to donors' wishes. Deposits to the Foundation are appropriately invested and stewarded according to the University's policy for affiliated foundations. Donors to the Foundation are recognized through University and school giving societies. Health Foundation staff, along with their colleagues in the University Advancement office, offer a wide range of administrative support for faculty investigators, including searching for and recommending potential funding opportunities, assistance with proposals to private foundations (editing, verifying that submissions meet all funder requirements, guidance in providing appropriate documentation as required by funders and/or OSP/Grants and Contracts) and appropriate stewardship of funders. The Foundation does not provide support for government grants, nor does it grant funds itself.
