Cancer Center Clinical Trials Recruitment and Outreach Specialist
The Office for Clinical Research (OCR) Clinical Trials Recruitment and Outreach Specialist (CTROS) offers services to all Oncology groups looking for assistance with:
- Addressing barriers for individual patients to participate in clinical research
- Creation of patient accrual programs for all clinical research at UVa Cancer Center
- Identification of barriers to participation in clinical trials
- Creation of strategies to eliminate barriers to patient enrollment
- Development of study specific recruitment plans
In addition to these services, the CTROS promotes awareness of the available clinical trials in the Cancer Center by participating in educational seminars, tumor boards, and community outreach activities targeting minority populations.
