Clinical researchers conducting study visits in the medical center may schedule radiological procedures for their research subjects through the standard clinical pathways. If billed to the research study (instead of to the patient or insurance as part of routine care) the researcher will be billed at the Medical Center's grant rate for each procedure. Available procedures include:

* Abdominal ultrasounds

* Barium enema

* Computed tomography (CT)

* Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA)

* Fluoroscopy

* Mammograms

* Nuclear imaging

* MRI

* PET

* PET/CT scans

* Ultrasound-guided procedures

* X-ray

Please be aware of the EPIC registration procedures for research related visits prior to scheduling any radiology procedures for research purposes. Also, communicate with a radiology manager well in advance regarding any specific sequences or procedure parameters that are required for your protocol.
