FUNDING CANCER - Multidisciplinary Studies of HIV/AIDS and Aging (Multiple Mechanisms)

Description: Applicants for this funding opportunity should propose to improve the understanding of biological, clinical, and socio-behavioral aspects of aging through the lens of HIV infection and its treatment. Proposals should also seek to improve approaches for testing, preventing, and treating HIV infection and managing HIV-related comorbidities, coinfections, and complications in different populations and cultural settings. The NCI is specifically interested in applications proposing studies to help understand how aging in the presence of chronic HIV infection affects the risk, spectrum, and biology of cancer in people living with HIV or studies on cancer treatment outcomes and survivorship in people living with HIV.
