Submitting Proposal for a Non-Funded Agreement
Examples of non-funded agreements include: Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), and Data Use Agreements (DUAs) or Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) that do not involve an exchange of funding with a party external to UVA. Investigators cannot independently sign this type of agreement with an outside party. Instead you will need to work with the Office of Sponsored Programs so they can negotiate and help get the agreement executed at the institutional level. Please work with your school's or department's research administration team to submit an electronic Non-Funded Agreement (eNFA). After the non-funded agreement form is signed and submitted, the request is assigned to a contract negotiator who will work with the negotiator or contact at the outside institution. The researcher will be consulted for input and information as needed during the negotiation.
