Excellence in Clinical Trials: Practical Skill for Principal Investigators Series & Resources

Are you ready to take the next step in your career as a Principal Investigator (PI) for clinical trials? We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for first-time or established PIs looking to build foundational skills and knowledge to set your studies up for success!

This is a pilot training program designed to foster a supportive, cohort-based learning experience with expert guidance. You'll be joining a dedicated group of new clinical investigators who are eager to learn, grow, and succeed in clinical trial management.

Learning Objectives:

  • Assemble an effective clinical research team: Identify key strategies for selecting and building a strong team, and develop skills for fostering productive, collaborative relationships with various stakeholders in clinical trials.
  • Navigate the financial landscape of clinical trials: Gain proficiency in budgeting, securing funding, and managing the financial aspects for clinical studies, while emphasizing the importance of conducting thorough feasibility assessments.
  • Master document control: Understand the importance of maintaining accurate, organized, and compliant study documentation, and apply best practices for effective document control throughout the lifecycle of a clinical trial.
  • Implement best practices for clinical trial management: Develop a comprehensive understanding of best practices for managing clinical trials, from initiation to study closeout, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality in every phase of the life of the trial.

  • 2025 Dates: April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15
  • Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM each week
  • Location: MR5, Room 3005 (In-person only)
