Description: This NOFO encourages applications from investigators interested in conducting basic, mechanistic research into the biological and genetic causes of cancer health disparities. Research projects must propose to investigate the interplay of race/ethnicity or other social determinants with cancer biology to mechanistically explain an unequal burden of cancer among populations. Applicants are also encouraged to use a comparative research design between at least two populations.
