Study Billing Coverage Analysis
This review is required for all full-board clinical research studies. Utilizing information from the protocol, informed consent and contract (study agreement), the SOM CTU Budget and Billing coordinator will collaborate with the study team to identify the source of payment (study or subject/subject's insurance) for each of the services/procedures that will generate a Medical Center and/or University Physicians Group (UPG). For externally funded trials, the final analysis will need to be provided to the SOM Office of Grants and Contracts as a pre-requisite to contract execution. As you conduct your research study, you are responsible for billing all procedures according to approval Study Billing Coverage Analysis. Periodic internal audits are performed to ensure compliance.
