Sample Public Dataset File
RDE Reseachers can index, share and manage private research data in the RDE Private Data Enclave. The system also supports public sharing of metadata (descriptive details related to research projects and datasets). Publishing these details is controlled by project owners and dataset admins.
The dataset admins may ALSO elect to publish their dataset files in which case they will be assigned a permanent DOI (digital object identifier) and become visible to any public user in a variety of locations: the RDE Public Data Commons, UVA LibraData, and a variety of data search engines that harvest and expose dataverse metadata.
